BeamTerms of Use
The rules for using findyourbeam.com and the Beam, Re. and sleepkind apps, written as plainly as we can.
1. Who we are
findyourbeam.com and the Beam, Re. and sleepkind apps are provided by Gemma Eves Wellness & Life Coaching Ltd, trading as Find Your Beam (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14559422, with our registered office at 115 Hampstead Road, London, NW1 3EE.

2. About these terms
These terms apply when you use our website or any of our apps. By downloading or using an app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside:
- the privacy notice for the app you use (findyourbeam.com/privacy/)
- the Medical & Wellbeing Disclaimer (findyourbeam.com/disclaimer/)
- the terms of the app store you downloaded from (Apple App Store or Google Play)
If anything in these terms conflicts with the app store’s terms about payments or refunds, the app store’s terms apply to that point.
3. Our apps are wellbeing tools, not medical care
Beam, Re. and sleepkind support general wellbeing, reflection, mindfulness and healthy daily habits. They:
- do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment
- are not medical devices
- are not a crisis or emergency service, and nothing you enter is monitored
Always follow the advice of your GP or other healthcare professionals. Don’t delay seeking help because of something in an app. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services, NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123.
Re. is a personal journal. It does not replace rehabilitation, therapy or medical follow-up after illness, injury or surgery.
sleepkind offers general sleep hygiene guidance. It does not diagnose or treat sleep disorders such as insomnia or sleep apnoea. If you have ongoing sleep problems, speak to your GP.
4. Who can use the apps
You must be at least 18 to use Re. and at least 16 to use sleepkind.
5. Your account (Re.)
Re. needs an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
sleepkind does not have accounts.
6. Using the apps fairly
You agree not to:
- misuse, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the apps, except where the law allows
- try to access anyone else’s account or information
- use the apps for anything unlawful
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control, under these terms and the app store’s rules.
7. Your content
Anything you write, record or upload in Re. (journal entries, voice memos, photos, goals) belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide the app to you, as explained in the Re. privacy notice. We don’t read it, publish it, or use it for advertising.
8. Prices, subscriptions and free trials
Our apps are currently free. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions, they will be sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Before you buy, the app will show you the price, what is included, how often you will be charged, whether there is a free trial, and how to cancel. We will update these terms before any paid feature launches.
Subscriptions bought through an app store renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us.
9. Cancelling and refunds
- To cancel a subscription, use your app store account settings (on iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the app store you bought from. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: through your Google Play order history.
- When you buy digital content that starts straight away, you will be asked to agree that it starts immediately. Where the law allows, this means the usual 14-day right to cancel no longer applies once it has started. This does not affect your other legal rights.
10. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn’t, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. For advice, contact Citizens Advice.
11. Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep the apps useful and available, but we can’t promise they will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses (our apps are for personal use).
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
12. Deleting your account and ending these terms
- Re.: you can delete your account at any time in Settings. This permanently deletes your account and your content. See findyourbeam.com/delete-account/re/.
- sleepkind: delete the app to remove all your sleepkind data.
We may suspend or close an account if it is used to break these terms or the law. If we decide to stop offering an app, we’ll give you reasonable notice and, for Re., a way to get a copy of your content before it closes. If you’ve paid for a period you can no longer use, you’ll be able to request a refund through the app store.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our apps or the law change. We’ll show the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
14. Intellectual property
The Beam, Re. and sleepkind names, logos, artwork, sounds, written guidance and the S.L.E.E.P. Framework™ belong to Gemma Eves Wellness & Life Coaching Ltd or its licensors. Your content stays yours (section 7).
15. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
